奚密，台湾大学外文系学士，美国南加州大学比较文学硕士及博士。现任教于美国加州大学戴维斯分校，以现当代汉语诗歌及东西方比较诗学为主要研究对象。主要论著包括：《现代汉诗：1917年以来的理论与实践》、《现代诗文录》、《从边缘出发：现代汉诗的另类传统》、《诗生活》。主要编辑与译作包括《现代汉诗选》（英文）、《杨牧诗选》（英文）、《二十世纪台湾诗选》（中、英文）、《海的圣像学：沃克特诗选》（中文）、《心也会流泪》（中文）。
